Caritas offers comprehensive social and health services in Oulu and its neighbouring municipalities, and in Kuopio. We help and serve people in all phases of life, in the middle of the twists and turns of life, any time help is needed.
We can combine social and health services in a unique way according to our customers' requirements. Our services consist of unique residential services, high-quality home care and rehabilitation services, and medical services for the elderly and people with disabilities.
There are more than 300 employees and a great number of volunteers in the Caritas Community to serve and help customers. They have an essential role in enriching the everyday life of our residents. With the help of our voluntary operation, we organise various activities to bring joy to the elderly and disabled and improve their quality of life.
The community is managed by Caritas-Säätiö, which was founded by the Evangelical Lutheran Joint Parish of Oulu together with local foundations and veteran and disability organisations in 1998. The profits of Caritas' service companies are directed through Caritas-Säätiö to non-profit operations and charity work to wherever help is needed the most.
Values that govern all the operations of our community are charity, ethicality and communality. In practice, this means respecting dignity and everyone's view of life, compassion, encouragement, willingness to help and support, and responsibility not only for oneself but for the surrounding community.
